For brand new designs, the design process typically takes a few hours to complete, and so there will be an initial design fee that will be put towards the cost of the finished project.
Once the design is finalised and you give the go-ahead to start, I will require a 50% deposit on the total cost of the project. This is used to cover materials and a start on the project labour.
On project completion, the piece will be carefully crated and delivered right to your door. The balance will be due on delivery.
Shipping is additional to the project cost and will be charged at cost.
With modern communication and shipping methods, custom furniture is very easy to organise. A custom order can mean anything from a slight variation to a piece I have already done to a completely new piece starting from scratch.
E-mail is the easiest way to communicate ideas about a new piece. I can send sketches and detailed drawings if necessary, and even send photos of design, wood, and finish options as the project progresses.
