About Isabella's Treasures
I made this deceptively small treasure box for my daughter, who is a treasure herself. It has five dovetailed drawers, two hinged doors, two sliding doors, and room for a secret box. Because of the small size of this box, the brass hinges are hand made to fit. This is a place where she will be able to keep small special treasures over the years.
The smallest of these drawers is only a little over one inch high, so the dovetails are very small. This project was a good exercise in close tolerances and micro-joinery.
The back is constructed of Beech frames and Spanish Cedar panels.
